Social media, fastest medium allowing people to share their lives, emotions and thoughts with other people publicly. People have found their long-lost friends, class fellows, and colleagues through Facebook. That, perhaps, is the sweetest part of the social networking sites. But there are some flaws too, the problem arises that what we are and what we portrayed ourselves on social media.
According to research about 90% people uses or visits social media each week/day, sharing stuff but expressing the true real self is important. In the world of social media, we all have an ideal self, we adore, we want to be like that because we find that ideal self more strong, impactful or successful etc. but we forget our goals due to that ideal perception.
Our real self is what we are, it reflects our own identity, characteristics, abilities, attributes, goals and skills. Impersonating yourselves in terms of that ideal self-causes depression and leads to the failure because if a person lives in the fantasy of that ideal self, he loses his focus and when a person starts losing his interest in his own self confidence which means that you are doubtful in your own skills and capabilities .

1. An actual self-real: Qualities you believe you have.
2. An ideal self: Characteristics and qualities you’d like to have. An ideal self is more about interests and your wishes, the way you’d like to see yourself.
3. An ought self: Traits you believe you should possess. Self is more inclined towards principles and ethics.
For logical reasons, people do not publicize their negative personalities on their social profiles, nor they post their unattractive pictures. Because of this we are often fooled into believing other people’s lives are much better than our own.

Portray yourself, your own self what you are, and what you want to be and what kind of hurdles you suffered for achieving that specific goal. Work on your goals to get that ideal living style (you adore) rather than comparing your life with ideal fantasies. People will rate you shake you but at the end they will accept you as YOU.
